I started my investing journey in 2008. Coming from a computer science background, I built some quantitative models to help me in my trading. Eventually, I quit my job, pursued my startup journey, and explored various facets of capital markets.

Eventually, I moved to the US to pursue my MBA in Finance. While pursuing my MBA, I was a portfolio manager for a student-managed fund worth $2 million USD and worked with a few hedge funds.

I moved back to the Tech and the start-up world for various reasons and took a break from investing.

In 2019, I accidentally read “Buffet, Making of an American Capitalist.” This book completely changed my view about investing.

Considering my previous start-up experience, I could relate better to the Buffet mantra -

"I am a better investor because I am a businessman and a better businessman because I am an investor.”

Over the next year, I read a lot of writings from Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger, Benjamin Graham, Howard Marks, etc.

I finally found my Ikigai - build a “Berkshire Hathaway” in my circle of competence.
